Ak Bars Kazan who won the first two KHL seasons is facing a tough task to repeat the success. After the overtime loss in game three they are now down 0-3 in the Quarter Final series against Salavat.

2-1 overtime goal at 63:28. Vitali Proshkin had given Salavat the lead at 25 minutes and Janne Pesonen scored Ak Bars' equalizer 8 minutes later.
