Slovakia secures spot in next years World Championship
17 May 2014 | Andreas Reiner
Slovakia wins their games against Italy 4:1.
Slovakia's three unanswered goals from Marek Daloga in the 11th, Marek
Viedensky in the 24th and Tomas Tatar in the 35th minute secured the win
and remain in the top group. Italy's Captain Alexander Egger got his
Team on the scoreboard a first time in the 39th minute. A Slovak powerplay with 2 Italians
on the bench led to the 4th goal by Michel Miklik at 48:07 and with that the Slovaks took the victory.
For Slovakia and Switzerland the, so far, disappointing World
Championship won't end with a nightmare but some headache. Both Teams
require help from other countries to reach the knock-out stage which is
not impossible but very unlikely. Switzerland will play Latvia in their
last game while Slovakia faces Denmark on Tuesday.
