After two losses Finland finally gets a win. Pekka Rinne earns the shutout as Germany is beaten 4-0.

 
 
 
 

Germany came to the game with two wins in the luggage. Finland with two losses. But it was no doubt who would win this game after the strong first period by Finland. The Finnish lions outshot Germany 16-3 and scored two unanswered goals before the first intermission.

Petri Kontiola scored 1-0 and Jarkko Immonen the second goal. Olli Palola and Leo Komarov added a goal each in the second period.

Pekka Rinne in the Finnish net made 20 saves in his second start of the championship.
