The last EHT tournament of the season - and the last ever - started today in Stockholm and Helsinki.

In Stockholm Czech Republic beat the Swedish home team.

According to the official stats the Czechs fired only 12 shots on goal today while the Swedes got 28. The game was not at all that one-sided. Czech Republic took the lead three times but the Swedes only managed to come back twice. Jakub Petruzalek scored the winning goal at six minutes of the last period.

The game saw goal scoring action right from the start. After only 15 seconds of play Tomas Mojzis took a shot from the blue-line that deflected off a Swedish defender and Anders Nilsson in the net had no chance to stop it.

It didn't take long for Sweden to reply. At 2:21, during the first powerplay of the game, Mikael Backlund tied it. He picked up a rebound and with Czech goalie Alexander Salak out of position Backlund had a wide open net to tie it.

The Czech team restored the lead at three minutes of the second period. Martin Zatovic got a long pass along the left boards from Jakub Krejcik. Zatovic found himself all alone with Nilsson to score 2-1. Once again Sweden used the powerplay when Magnus Nygren tied it at 32:14 with his first goal ever for Tre Kronor. He fired a shot from the blueline that Salak couldn't see due to the bunch of players in front of him.

For the third time Czech Republic took the lead at six minutes of the third period when Jakub Petruzalek used one of many Czech breakaways.

With 1:59 to go Sweden got the chance to play on the powerplay. Coach Pär Mårts called a timeout and pulled the goalie in the attempt to get an equalizer. There was a lot of pressure towards the Czech net but the guests (who officially is the home team) resisted and got away with the win.
