Färjestad joins Skellefteå in the semi finals. Växjö has 3-2 against Linköping and Frölunda and Linköping will play a seventh and decisive quarter final game.
Färjestad qualified for the semi finals after overtime win in the fifth quarter final against Brynäs yesterday. Patrik Lundh was the hero for the team from Karlstad with the game winning goal 8:27 into the sudden death overtime.
In the other game yesterday Teemu Lassila earned himself a shutout and gave Växjö a 3-2 lead over Luleå in a 2-0 win. In a close game with few shots goals from Rasmussen and Rakhshani gave Växjö the advantage.
Today Linköping won a must win game and took the quarter final against Frölunda to a seventh and all decisive game. Linköping did perhaps their best game so far in the quarter final and had a 5-1 lead before Frölunda got a couple of consulation goals. Top scorer Pär Arlbrandt scored two goals for Linköping. The decisive game is played on Thursday.
