The Lions were unable to realize the matchpuck to close the series and now play Lausanne in game 7 instead.
After last Thursday when the ZSC Lions were unable to shut out
Lausanne from the semifinals, they took another shot in Lausanne yesterday
where 8'000 fanatic
specators waited to push their team to the next suprise.
The first period ended with a minor penalty on both sides and a
clear advantage on shots on goal (8:14) for the ZSC Lions. 27
minutes into the game Benjamin Antonietti
(Juha-Pekka Hytönen, Daniel Bang) scored on Lukas Flüeler who didn't
look too good. A shot that supposedly was in his glove just dropped
to the ice where Hytönen played the puck around the goal and passed it
to Antonietti who shot the puck passed Flüeler. With 1 minute to play in
period two it was Juha-Pekka Hytönen who scored the second goal of the
game on a powerplay.
The ZSC Lions were unable to turn the game, Patrick Bärtschi's goal in
the 46th minute didn't change that and so the Lions left Lausanne empty
handed and will play a "Belle" at home in the Hallenstadion on Tuesday.
The winner will face HC Genève Servette in the semifinals which start on
Thursday.
