Admiral took over the 8th spot in the East over Traktor with today's win, but they're still a game ahead.
Felix Schutz and Richard Gynge were exquisite on the powerplay today, scoring twice, and Gynge also added a full strength goal to secure the win for the hosts in Vladivostok. Despite Novokuznetsk opening the score at 5:27 through Semyon Valuisky, Schutz anulled it with two quick powerplay releases at 26:58 and then at 29:19 to get the game-winner.
Until the end Gynge added another one to secure the win. With the newly acquired three points, Admiral will sleep as 8th in the eastern standings for at least a day, jumping over Traktor with a point less. Admiral has 72, Traktor meets Vityaz tomorrow.
Amur managed to get at least a point at home in the clash with Sibir of Novosibirsk. Currently the worst KHL team with only 45 points and grappling to get financial security went down a goal 9 seconds before the end of the first period on the powerplay. meaning Sergei Shumakov got the shorthanded goal, his second overall this season.
Ilya Krikunov scores on the powerplay at 26:52 to level things up. As no one was able to score until the very end, Vyacheslav Belov had to put the period to it in the shootout. Alexei Kopeikin also scored for the visitors.
