Tomas Marcinko out of Olympic Games due to injury

Slovakia men's ice hockey forward Tomas Marcinko will miss the rest of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games due to a leg injury, the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation announced today

Marcinko, who plays for Kosice, tore a ligament in the second period of Thursday's game against USA, when he fell on the ice in the attacking zone. The team doctors concluded that surgery is not required.

"It came at the most inconvenient time. I feel very sad," Marcinko said in a statement released by the federation.
