Georgian Championship started on January 11, 2014. This year, again, 4 teams participate – one from Bakuriani (a ski resort in the mountains), Mimino, and three from the capital city of Georgia – Tbilisi, Grey Wolves, Fiery Crusaders and current champion Ice Knights
As last year, the championship will be divided into 4 stages and each team will play 18 games. Some new players were introduced by the teams, thus making the championship even more attractive.

From April 6-12 Georgian National Team will compete in Luxemburg against hosts, Bulgaria, DRP, Hong-Kong and UAE. The decision to allow Georgian National Team was taken by IIHF council in its semiannual congress in Portugal. The decision to start championship later, was taken by Georgian Ice Hockey National Federation, in order to allow players to prepare better for the upcoming World Championship.
