Asiago starts its Super Finals campaign giving tit for tat at host Rouen

Revenge is a dish best served cold: two years ago Asiago was humiliated 0-6 by Rouen in first game of Superfinals, tonight Italian team had the best revenge possible, earning the first ever victory in the Superfinals and closing the first day of tournament as leader dealing a slap to Rouen final victory's ambitions. With a tsunami-style 40 minutes Asiago calls it quits, netting 6 unanswered goals in the Gabriel Girard's gate, two by sniper Sean Bentivoglio - the first one shorthanded - and the others courtesy of promising defender Lorenzo Casetti and veterans Andrè Signoretti, Dan Sullivan and captain Dave Borrelli. Rouen - in front of a sold-out crowd - tries to avoid the Vincenzo Marozzi shoot-out in the third period, but italo-canadian Asiago goalie well defended his gate and deservely earned MVP title. The game ended with a tense Antonin Manavian trying to fight with Dan Sullivan, while French fans see Dragons out hissing. The incredible triumph of 2011 edition seems so far away
