Players decided to boycott next game against Vitebsk if they won't receive salaries

The bomb exploded yesterday after last game lost 1-3 at home against Khimik Novopolotsk: in the locker room players of Shakhtar Soligorsk had a meeting and decided to not play next game against Vitebsk, scheduled for October 18. The reason? None of them receives salary from August.

During the post-game press-conference, Shakhtar coach Andrei Gusov briefly commented the game to focus his statement on the deplorable situation at the club. "The main thing - it's what I don't know how to go to the guys in the locker room and speak about aspects of the game or technical issues.I'm just tired, and sometimes I want to howl from powerlessness to change the situation. People come to the gym, at the game, but do not think about hockey. They have one thought - how to feed their families. I do not know who to call.Just now, the captain and his assistant came up to me and said that the team did not come out for the next match against the Vitebsk. Because the work in such conditions is unbearable. There is nothing of professional sports, there is nothing on the professionalism. I walk into the locker room, I look at them and I want to cry. How can I bring them to any claim or cause something to do? I put my heart an soul on this work from morning to late evening ... Honestly - I do not know what to do. If no one wants hockey in Soligorsk  - come and say, "You are not wanted. But if want to keep the team, then please treat people like human beings."

Also Khimik coach Andrei Korobov gave his statement about the situation: "Shakhtar players played very well, even in a difficult situation off the ice, without sparing himself, showing loyalty to hockey. We were in a similar situation not long time ago. I really hope that the situation in Soligorsk will be normalized as soon as possible"
