KHL expanding to Norway?
A meeting has been held in Norway to discuss possibilities of a Norwegian KHL team but there has been questions about if it's official from KHL's side or not.
This week it was a meeting between Antanas Sakavickas and the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association discussing a possible Norwegian KHL team. The talks were positive but after the meeting there was a confusion if Sakavickas was an official KHL representative or not.
After the meeting Norwegian media reported Sakavickas was not representing KHL and that the Norwegian Association had been fooled. However later it has been reporting that even if he is not an official KHL representative he is Norway with the good mind of KHL.
It's still very unclear how likely it is that KHL will expand to KHL but in the first meeting the Norwegian Association was positive but said it was up to the clubs. If it becomes reality it's unknown if a new team will be formed or if one of the existing clubs will join KHL.
