Sakhalin will apply for entry into the Asia League
Sakhalin governor is currently in Korea to discuss about the possible entrance of a professional team from Russian island in Asia League
Sakhalin governor Aleksandr Khoroshavin, along with a regional delegation, is currently on a visit in the Republic of Korea, to discuss, among other issues, the possibility to apply for entering in Asia League for a team from Južno-Sachalinsk, the capital of Russian island
According to Khoroshavin, "creating a team to compete in a respected league will bring the Sakhalin hockey to a professional level, and will open the road to the sport for youth. The fans at the same time have the opportunity to follow the progress of their favourites in an international tournament."
