The new World Champion Sweden climbed three spots on the IIHF world ranking to become #1. Also Korea moves up three.

Even if Sweden would have lost the World Championship final it would have become the new leader of the IIHF world ranking. Their final opponent Switzerland climbed two spots to a seventh place.

If is worth mentioning that the four Euro Hockey Tour countries Sweden, Finland, Russia and Czech Republic hold the four first spots of the ranking.
