Roman Josi of the Swiss team named Most Valuable Player. Petri Kontiola wins the scoring title.

 
 
 
 

During the third period of the final game of the World Championship the individual award winners were announced.

Grand slam for Roman Josi of the Swiss team that surprised all experts. Josi was named MVP and best defenseman.

Top scorer of the tournament was Finland's Petri Kontiola who scored 16 points (8+8) in 10 games. A new Finnish record. No Finnish player has ever scored more than 15 points in a World Championship.
