Three power play goals led Canada to a comfortable 4-1 victory against Belarus.

Canada took another impressive victory when they easily won 4-1 against Belarus led by Claude Giroux who was brilliant in the game and scored three points. Canada took full control from the start and outshot Belarus 20-2 in the first period. That momentum gave the Maple Leafs a 2-0 lead after goals by Ryan O'Reilly and Andrew Ladd.

After the absolute domination in the first period Canada took a bit easier for the rest of the game but was in full control of the game only allowing Belarus to 10 shots on goal for the entire game.

The Claude Giroux show started five minutes into the second when he on a power play took him all the way through the Belarus defence going past all four Belarus players and leaving Steven Stamkos with a wide open net for 3-0.

The show continued in the third when Giroux had the puck behind the net and fooled the goalie to go one taking the puck the other way and wrapping the puck around the post for 4-0.

Belarus got a fluke goal with a few minutes left to make the final score 4-1, numbers that could have been much bigger if Canada had gone 100 % for the full game.
