In a very offensive first period Kai Hospelt, Sebastian Furchner and Aaron Brocklehurst gave home side Wolfsburg a solid 3-1 lead with a goal for Nürnberg by Connor James in between. At the startof the middle period Norm Milley added another one for the Lower Saxons before Nürnberg answered with goals by Sven Butenschön and Steven Reinprecht even before the second intermission. During even last 20 minutes the result didn't change anymore so that the Grizzly Adams were able to fight back and to send the series to Nürnberg again for the decisive game #3.

Straubing Tigers (9) - Augsburger Panther (8) 4-1

In the Bavarian derby 5,819 fans saw how Bernhard Keil, Tyler Beechey (2) and Alexander Dotzler pathed the way for Straubing with a solid four goal lead before Sergio Somma answered with the consolation goal for the guests from Augsburg late at 56:17. With this win they made it to the playoff quarterfinals where they will face either Adler Mannheim or Kölner Haie, depending on the outcome of the other series.
