The Elitserien league leader Skellefteå beat last year's champion Brynäs 9-1. Oscar Möller scored four goals and Bud Holloway five assists.
Skellefteå AIK - Brynäs IF 9 - 1

Skellefteå got the largest win of Elitserien this season when they defeated Brynäs 9-1 at home in Skellefteå Kraft Arena. The line with Oscar Möller (4+1), George Holloway (0+5) and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare (1+3) was the unit behind the win. Melker Karlsson (2), Johan Forsberg and Joakim Lindström also beat Robin Rahm in the guest's net. Brynäs is only four points from missing the playoffs with five games left to play.
Timrå IK - HV 71 1 - 2

For the fifth time in five games HV71 won all three points against Timrå. Elias Fälth and Mattias Karlsson scored for HV; Matt Murley for Timrå. The game winning goal by Karlsson after a lucky bounce of a defender that left Timrå without points despite a good game. Timrå is eight points behind Växjö in the chase to avoid the relegation round, but the two teams play on Saturday, Timrå need to win that one to have any chance.
AIK - Färjestads BK 3 - 2

Christian Sandberg scored the 2-2 equalizer and the winner in the shootout when AIK beat Färjestad. Important points for AIK in the chase of the last playoff spot
Växjö Lakers HC - Luleå HF 0 - 2

Two goals by Niklas Olausson were enough for Luleå to bring three points from Växjö. Johan Gustafsson made 20 saves for the shutout in a game dominated by Luleå. Växjö shows bad form and are still not safe from the relegation round.

Linköping's Mattias Weinhandl returned after three months of injury. He got an assist to the only goal of the game scored at 34:01 by Patrik Zackrisson.
