Aisulu Almaty, MODO Hockey and HC Slavia Praha advance in EWCC

The First Round of the European Women's Champions Cup was completed today. Clubs of Kazakhstan, Sweden and Czech Republic join earlier qualified Bolzano Eagles to the second stage.
All three successful teams from this weekend had a very easy way to the group win.
In Minsk Aisulu Almaty of Kazakhstan beat SC Miercurea Ciuc (Romania) 12-0 , Milenyum Ankara (Turkey) 7-0 and the host Pantera Minsk 6-1.
In Örnsköldsvik of Sweden the home team MODO beat Hvidovre (Denmark) 6-0, Vålerenga (Norway) 6-0 and Laima (Latvia) 8-0 to win the group without allowing one single goal.
Slavia Praha won the group in Vienna, Austria after beating Polonia Bytom (Poland) 11-4, Sabres Vienna (Austria) 2-0 and HK Poprad (Slovakia) 4-0.
The first team to qualify for the second stage was Bolzano Eagles of Italy who beat HC Neuilly sur Marne (France), KHL Gric (Croatia) and Valladolid Panteras (Spain) in a group that was played October 5-7.
The second stage will be played December 7-9 and will also include four pre-qualified teams:
Group E: ZSC Lions Zurich (SUI, host), ESC Planegg (GER), Bolzano Eagles (ITA), MODO Örnsköldsvik (SWE)
Group F: Kärpät Oulu (FIN, host), Tornado Moscow Region (RUS), Aisulu Almaty (KAZ), Slavia Prague (CZE)
The final tournament will be played February 22-24 2013.
