New All-time assist record in Elitserien
When HV71 beat Färjestad 4-3 today, HV's captain Johan Davidsson got an assist and broke Stefan "Skuggan" Nilsson's All-time assist record.
Jesper Fasth scored twice (1-0 and 3-1) and Rhett Rakhshani scored HV's fourth goal. Marcus Paulsson, Max Görtz and Per Åslund scored for Färjestad.
AIK got an impressing 5-1 win away to last season's champion Brynäs. Daniel Larsson in the net made 38 saves. Joakim Nordström (2+1), Jonas Liwing (1+2) and Fredrik Hynning (1+2) earned three points each. Victor Ahlström also scored a goal. The Norwegian veteran Mads Hansen scored for Brynäs.
Luleå beat MODO 3-2 at home in COOP Arena. The first period ended 0-0. In the second Pavel Skrbek scored 1-0 and Linus Persson 2-0. Per-Åge Skrøder then made it 2-1 at 34:57. Chris Abbott scored his third goal of the season at 48:29 to make it 3-2. A minute later Alexander Steen made it 3-2. The game saw no more goals.
