Liberec beats Pardubice again

The only European Trophy game on Wednesday was the Czech derby in East Division

Five days after a solid 3-0 win in Pardubice, the White Tigers from Liberec again beat their Extraliga rivals in European Trophy. 1682 spectators came to Tisport Arena to see their team having a good start. In the first nine minutes of play Jan Visek and Tomas Netik pathed the way for the home win before Jan Stary cut the lead to one. In the second period it was similar. First Antonin Dusek and again Jan Visek scored for the Bohemians before Jiri Cetkovsky got the second goal for Pardubice. Early in the third period a power play goal by Jan Stary got tension back to the match but in the end Liberec saved the small distance to get all three points. The three stars of the match were Liberec players Jan Visek (2 goals, 1 assist) and Tomas Netik (1 goal, 1 assist) along with Pardubice's Jan Stary (2 goals).

Liberec now is third in the East with 12 points but has only one game left against SC Bern from Switzerland. Pardubice is on the 5th spot with 9 points in 6 matches.
