Slovakian MHL team future is still unclear and club may disappear after one season
MHL Managing Director Dmitri Efimov said League is worry about the
Tatranski Vlci situation and the club may cease to exist.
"We do not quite understand the situation with team Tatranski Vlci. The mother club Lev is moving from Poprad to Prague, and the destiny of his youth team, also for me, as head of the MHL, is not clear. I would really like to believe that the Tatranski Vlci future will be all right, and we will have the 12th country to participate in next MHL season. But if we understand that team will cease to exist and will not be in MHL, we will focus on the ten teams who have already confirmed their participation. Club may cease to exist, all depends on new owners. In Poprad there is a hockey club, which has expressed a desire to get in the KHL. I do not know if they will meet the requirements but whatever will be the result, they will keep the Tatranski Vlci under the wing of the club? Of course, everything depends on money. I'm also not entirely understand why new Prague KHL team Lev made a public statement that they are not interested in the youth team. But, at least, it's not my business" concludes Efimov.
In its first season in MHL, Tatranski Vlci, playing its home game in Nova Ves, finished last in Northwest Division
