AIK close to a surprise again

MoDo - Skellefteå 1-0 OT (Series: 2-2)

Two good goalies in Mikael Tellqvist and Joacim Eriksson kept the game scoreless in regular time. You could imagine that it was a boring game but it wasn't and both teams had a lot of chances to score.

After 60 minutes of goal draught it only took 2:40 into the overtime for MoDo to score the game winner when Nicklas Danielsson scored and tied the series. Skellefteå was upset and claimed that it was tripping  just before the goal. "Got a good pass from Skröder and it was nice to put it in, as I had many chances in the game", Danielsson said to Canal + after the game.



AIK - Luleå 4-1 (Series: 3-1)

After a solid 4-1 win at home AIK is very close to eliminate the regular season winners in the quarter finals for the second season in a row. AIK built the victory in the first when they took a 2-0 lead after goals by Salmonsson and MacNevin.

Joonas Vihko gave Luleå some hope when he made it 2-1 with a great shot but seven minutes later AIK restored the two goal lead when Dick Tärnström went offensive and finished a nice play. After that Luleå didn't have the energy to come back and only managed four shots on goal in the last period, AIK added fourth goal by Kent McDonell.
