Romanian hockey mourns Gică Huţanu

One of greatest Romanian hockey players passed away at 62

 
 
 
 
Gică Huţanu passed away last week at 62 at the Covasna's St. George hospital, where he was hospitalized in last weeks due to several diseases and a semi-paralysis. In last two years he was guest in a retirement home in Haghig, near Covasna.
Born in Bucarest, Hutanu played for the two best Romanian hockey teams, defunct Dinamo Bucharest (1968-1976) where he won 5 national titles and Steaua (1977-1982), 4 titles, closing his career at HC Sf. Gheorghe in 1985. At 1971 IHWC Group C in Switzerland he was awarded as tournament best striker
