Current champion will now wait playoffs quarter finals to know the opponent for semifinals. DAB Docler is runner up by goals' difference
Despite a
4-3 loss in last match, the classic against Steaua Rangers, Romanian team
HSC Csíkszereda (Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc in Romanian) finished
MOL Liga regular season at top of standing and advances directly to playoffs semifinals avoiding quarter finals. Also Hungarian
DAB Docler Dunaujvaros, finished with same points as Csíkszereda but with a worst goals difference, can rest until January 29 when semifinals series will start.
Quarter Finals, a series at best-of-three, will start next sunday with two regional pair:
Corona Fenestela Brasov -
Steaua Rangers and
Miskolci JJSE -
Ferencváros TC.
Brasov and Miskolci will play two games at home as best teams classified during regular season.
Two Hungarian teams,
Sapa Fehérvár AV19 (EBEL Fehervar farm team) and
Újpesti TE, are out of playoffs and finish their season today.
