Fedor Fedorov played his first game for Atlant Moscow Oblast in the KHL tonight and scored 2 goals and 2 assists in the 4-1 win against Vityaz. The line with Fedorov, Jan Bulis and Sergei Mozyakin scored all four Atlant goals.

China Dragon won its only second point of the Asia League season after an overtime loss to Nikko Icebucks (2-3). Weiyang Zhang scored two goals for Dragon but Tomohiko Uchiyama tied the game and also scored Nikko's game-winner. Anyang Halla leads the league.

HIFK's super talent Mikael Granlund is recovering so slowly from his concussion that he will not participate in the World Junior Championship at the end of the year, writes Iltalehti.
He was injured in a league game against Blues October 14. He banged his head into the boards after an unsuccessful hit.

After three years as headmaster in Vierumäki's National Sports Academy, former national team coach Erkka Westerlund is back on a club bench, signing a contract until end of next season with Jokerit Helsinki, after club sacked head coach Hannu Jortikka and assistant coach Sami Ranta.
Sami Lämsä is Westerlund's new assistant.
Jokerit is currently 8th in the league with 34 points after 24 rounds

Mattias Weinhandl of SKA St. Petersburg scored twice on Spartak Moskva's goalie Dominik Hasek to move to the top of the goal scoring list in KHL. Weinhandl has scored 17 goals, one more than Patrick Thoresen and Lukas Kaspar. Of the nine best goal scorers in KHL only two are Russian. Igor Grigorenko and Denis Platonov have scored 13 goals each.

Alexandria Blizzard Dutch forward Nardo Nagtzaam was elected forward of the week in NAHL completing a week to remember with 8 goals and 6 assists in Blizzard's four victory.
"Nardo really picked up his game last weekend and showed why he's one of the best players in the league," said Blizzard assistant coach Jeff Crouse. "He played well in all ends of the rink and we look forward to him continuing to being a leader for our hockey team."

Owen Nolan will remain for at least two more months at the ZSC Lions. The first contract, which expired after eight games with the game in Ambri-Piotta was extended.
Nolan still hopes to finish the season in the NHL, so the extension was to 23 January. So far he has done very well in Switzerland with 11 points in 8 games. ZSC won six of those games.

Straubing Tigers beat EHC München in the 21st round of the shootout in tonight's DEL game. Both teams scored in round 3, 14, 18 and 20 but in round 21 München's Stéphane Julien failed to score while Eric Meloche got the game-winner for Straubing. The score after 60 minutes was 4-4.

Dinamo Riga Slovak coach Julius Supler was elected "Rigan of the Year 2010" for his contribution to the development of the Latvian capital.
"Rigan of the Year is a person who carries the name of the city outside Latvia", says Riga mayor Nils Ušakovs. "I believe the choice we made is more than correct due to the work Supler made for our capital. His work is popular and is often mentioned in a positive context. In addition, our team had great campaigns, reaching the playoffs of the Gagarin Cup twice. That is something to be proud of!"
Supler will receive the award at end of November.

After the game between Zug and Davos in Swiss National League on November 16, Zug Head Coach Doug Shedden made unportsmanlike comments about HC Davos and its Head Coach Arno Del Curto. For that he is now fined CHF 900.
