In a highly anticipated final, Czechia clinched the IIHF World Championship title with a 2-0 victory over Switzerland. After a scoreless two periods, David Pastrnak broke the deadlock at 49:13, assisted by Tomas Kundratek and Libor Hajek. Switzerland pulled their goalie in a desperate bid to equalize, but David Kämpf sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 59:41, assisted by Dominik Kubalík and Martin Nečas.

Czechia's solid defense and clutch scoring proved decisive, earning them the championship in front of 17,413 spectators.
