Game recap

Sheffield Steelers recorded their second win in Glasgow in a week with a three-goal victory over the Clan on Saturday night.

Having won 7-1 exactly seven nights ago, the Steelers took control early on their third visit of the season to Braehead Arena. Evan Mosey put the visitors ahead just 106 seconds into the game with a tip off Brendon McNally's shot past John Muse. Daniel Ciampini doubled the Steelers' lead at 10:56 when a rebound from Brett Neumann's shot deflected into the net off him.

Matt Petgrave scored his fourth goal in five games to put the Steelers three ahead just shy of the 30-minute mark, before Steven McParland got the Clan on the board 32 seconds before the end of the period.

Brandon Whistle tapped into an open net from a Niklas Nevalainen pass in front to make it 4-1 at 43:34 in what was a flurry of third-period goals. Kevin Massy pulled the score back to 4-2 19 seconds later, with Neumann scoring the Steelers' fifth 41 seconds thereafter. Match Jones' goal at 46:31 brought the Clan back to within two, but Scott Allen's effort on the empty net was the last of the night to leave a final score of 6-3.
