Sheffield Steelers continued their good start to the season with a shutout home win, taking them up to 79% of points in the league so far.

Shane Owen stopped eight shots in the opening period but was finally beaten 3:24 into the second when Brett Neumann skated through 1-on-0 and finished five-hole.

Matt Petgrave doubled the home side's lead with just under 15 minutes to go, before Martin Látal hit the empty net with 62 seconds remaining. Steelers goalie Matt Greenfield logged an impressive 30-shot shutout.
