Game recap

Guildford Flames recorded their second home victory of the weeks with a 7-3 win over Dundee Stars.

A goal-fest of an opening period saw the Flames come out 4-3 ahead after 20 minutes at the Spectrum. Charlie Combs put the star ahead at 2:32 but were pulled back only 17 seconds later by Ian Watters. Combs then scored his and the Stars' second of the night on the powerplay just before the seven-minute mark, and then Sebastian Bengtsson put them two ahead at 10:54.

The Flames turned things around in an 18-second spell. Ian Mcnulty tied things up before Turner Ripplinger got his first for the team at 13:39 to tie things up before McNulty put the hosts back in the lead 32 seconds before the first intermission.

Levi Cable got the only goal of the middle period to give the Flames a 5-3 advantage after 40 minutes.

Dundee pulled Brythonn Preece for the extra attacker inside the final three minutes but when McNulty hit the empty net with 64 seconds to go, while Jordan Cownie added Guildford's seventh 31 seconds from the end.
