Game recap

Glasgow Clan ended their four-game stretch with their second win of the week thanks to a three-goal road victory against Scottish rivals Dundee. The game was played in front of 200 fans due to Scottish Government COVID-19 regulations.

The first period saw a lot of attacking and very little transition as the two sides shared four goals in the opening 20 minutes. Connor Sills slapped his shot through to open the scoring and put the Stars one up on the powerplay with 5:48 played, but that was just the start of a 10-minute goal rush.

Clan levelled at 7:35 on a man advantage of their own as a defensive breakdown left Mathieu Roy all alone in front of Morrison, and Nolan LaPorte was on hand to slot home the rebound.

Colton Yellow Horn burried a wrist shot 110 seconds later to put the visitors ahead, but by 15:32 the scores were back level with Timi Lahtinen's shot from distance finding its way through.

Clan took control of the game in period two and came out of it a pair of goals ahead. Mathieu Roy put them back ahead at 23:42 before Colton Yellow Horn was allowed to go through 1-on-0 and saw his shot squeeze through Morrison to make it 4-2 at 26:13. Dundee created some half chances in response, but the visitors were deservedly ahead after 40 minutes.

Sills had the Stars back to within one 4:10 into period three, but a missed penalty shot for the hosts was a chance they were to regret not long after. Roy again powered his way through and beat Morrison over his shoulder to reestablish the visitors' two-goal cushion with 8:06 to play. That was a deficit that the home side were unable to chip away at any further, and the Clan held on for a valuable two points to overtake the Stars in the standings.
