Goals and assists
After suffering defeat in their opening league game to the Blaze on home ice, Sheffield hit back on Sunday with a three-goal win in Coventry on the Blaze's home debut for the season.
Martin St. Pierre broke the deadlock at 16:17, while Robert Dowd doubled the lead 3:52 into period two. When Marc-Olivier Vallerand poked home a loose puck at 31:52 the Steelers were in control, and sealed the win with John Armstrong's wrist-shot just shy of the 50 minute mark.
Evan Bloodoff's slapshot pulled a goal back for the Blaze with just under eight minutes to go, but despite some late pressure that was the only goal the Blaze were to get.
