Guildford Flames qualified for their first ever Elite League final with a comfortable aggregate win over the Panthers. They’ll now face Belfast next month to try and win the Challenge Cup.
Ahead by three from the first leg, the Flames the Flames extended their advantage in the middle period thanks to goals from TJ Foster and Brett Ferguson just under five minutes apart. Trailing by five on aggregate, the Panthers did reduce their arrears through Justin Kovacs at 35:56, but that was as good as it got for the hosts.
A late powerplay goal from Jamie Crooks sealed the Flames win with 41 seconds remaining, to send the 100 or so travelling fans wild and confirm their place in the Challenge Cup Final!
