Game recap

In front of almost 8,500 spectators at the FlyDSA Arena, Sheffield leapfrogged Fife into sixth place thanks to a three-goal home win.

The game between the sides directly next to each other in the table was all square going into the final period, as the sides were tied at 1-1 after 40 minutes. Rob Dowd put the Steelers ahead 10:26 into the opening period, before Carlo Finucci tried the game with 3:21 left to play in the second.

The final period however belonged to the Steelers, who took the two points with three unanswered goals. Eric Neiley put them back in the lead at 4:16, and then 122 seconds later Dowd added his second of the game to put the Steelers 3-1 ahead. Neiley shot home from close range with 2:25 to go to round off the game.
