When Sibir Novosibirsk beat Salavat Yulaev UFA 6-3 Vladimir Tarasenko scored a hattrick. Since 1996 only three players under the age of 20 had scored a hattrick in the highest league of Russia.

Maxim Afinogenov, Evgeni Malkin and Maxim Kitsyn had done it before. Now Vladimir Tarasenko became the fourth player under 20 years since 1996 to score a hatrrick in the highest league of Russia. Tarasenko scored the first home goal for 1-1 and then added the important 4-3 and 5-3 goals. Finland's Jori Lehterä also had a great night with two goals and an assist. Salavat had a 3-2 lead after two periods but the home team's 4-0 win in the third period changed the outcome.

Spartak Moskva at home was no hard game for Amur Khabarovsk. Spartak got the lead at 14 minutes but then there were 6 unanswered home goals. Igor Ignatushkin scored twice. Jakub Petruzhalek also got a goal and leads the KHL in scoring.

Roman Cervenka was the player of the day in Omsk. He tied the game with only 11 seconds remaining and then he got the game-winner in the shoot-out. Torpedo were in a 2-0 lead after the first period but couldn't bring more than one point home to Nizhny-Novgorod.
