SKA St. Petersburg was the last team in KHL with a perfect record but yesterday the team suffered its first loss; to Dinamo Minsk in a shootout game.

SKA's first loss of the season but it looked for a long time that the winning streak would continue. SKA scored 2-1 at 32:13 and were then in the lead until 57:23 when Zbynek Irgl tied the game with his first goal of the season. In the shootout Minsk's goalie Andrei Mezin saved both shots (by Peter Prucha and Patrik Thoresen) while Jakub Stepanek allowed Irgl's penalty shot and then Ilya Ezhov was beaten by Geoff Platt.
