The blue American team just got away with the win against the Swedes. With one minute remaining of the overtime Vince Trocheck scored the winning goal.

USA had had leads 2-0 and 3-2 but Sweden had tied the game twice. Johan Larsson made it 2-2 and Johan Sundström made it 3-3 with four minutes remaining of the third period.

USA Blue started with Jack Campbell in the net. Campbell kept the net clean but was replaced with Stephan Michalek at the 30-minute mark. Johan Gustafsson guarded the Swedish net.

Finland had a 2-1 lead against USA White after the first period after goals by Miikka Salomäki and Teemu Pulkkinen. After Justin Holl’s equalizer Finland restored the 2-goal lead when Miro Aaltonen scored 3-1 a few minutes into the middle period.

Before the second period had ended USA replied with 3 goals to take a 5-3 lead which also was the final score after a scoreless third period.
