Hungarian team blanked willing Kaunas City in the opening game of Continental Cup Second Round in Belgrade
Ferencvaros immediately showed that they were favorites for the final victory, clearly beating the Lithuanians of Kaunas City, who arrived in Belgrade as winners of the first round. The Hungarian team struggled only until the beginning of the second period, when they scored the third goal with Nolan Laporte, taking advantage of a huge mistake by Daniel Klinecky in Kaunas' best moment, who seemed to be able to score the goal that would reopen the match. But the Budapest team, followed in Serbia by a fair number of fans, showed greater physical strength and higher level hockey than that of the willing Lithuanian team, who even in the last period insistently looked for the goal, not taking advantage of several power play situations
