The Ukrainian Hockey League (UHL) and the Ukrainian Hockey Federation have reached an agreement to sign an additional agreement in the interests of the national teams of Ukraine and the Ukrainian hockey player in general, as well as to develop a long-term agreement on joint work on holding Ukrainian ice hockey championships.
This agreement puts an end to a conflict that broke out in recent months between the two entities over who had the right to manage the national championship and club activities, such as participation in the Continental Cup
The new cooperation includes:
- The Ukranian Hockey Federation (FHU) is one of the founders of UHL with a 50% share, the second 50% share will remain with UHL. Based on this, the Federation and the League will share legal, financial and marketing responsibilities, and parity in decision-making is established between the Federation and the clubs;
- FHU provides seats to representatives of clubs in the Federation Council;
- The parties unite their efforts in the work aimed at successful performances of the national teams of Ukraine at all levels;
- FHU and UHL withdraw mutual lawsuits;
- FHU and UHL on a parity basis create an independent association of judges.
It was also decided that in the next season, teams participating in the Ukrainian Championship will be able to enter no more than 11 imports, of which no more than 10 are skaters .
The schedule of matches will include 3 pauses for the preparation of national teams.
