Sweeping MAC Budapest in four games, DVTK confirms supremacy in MOL-Liga
MAC Budapest - DVTK Miskolc 2-5
The defending champions Diósgyőri VTK were one win away from defending their MOL League and Hungarian title. Jesse Dudás and Attila Pavuk were back in the lineup after sitting out a one game suspension, missing from the lineup was Jarkko Leppanen and Dávid Gyenes was in net. MAC was without Ian McDonald who had to leave both the second and third games because of an injury.
Game three started much like the first period with DVTK scoring an early goal when they ran the same play as on the first goal in game three when Roland Hajós passed the puck from behind the net and this time Balázs Somogyi deked out Bálizs and flipped into the empty net. Later in the period DVTK went up by three goals when they scored twice in a 28 second span. MAC was not able to get out of their zone and DVTK made them pay when Attila Pavuk flipped it in for the goal, this was followed up by a shot by Booras from the left faceoff circle, MAC called timeout after this. The timeout looked to work as MAC settled down for the rest of the period.
