Davos 2-0 up in NLA finals
02 Apr 2011 | Fredrik Pålsson
Davos followed up on their 5-2 win at home by beating Kloten 2-1 on away ice.
Goalie Leonardo Genoni and game winning goal scorer Lukas Stoop were the victory organizers when Davos defeated Kloten in front of 7624 spectators in Kolping Arena in Kloten. Davos took the lead playing four on four when Stoop set up a counter attack and assisted Peter Guggisburg after seven minutes. At 12:26 Matthias Bieber made it 1-1 when his shot surprised Genoni. But that was the only time the Kloten players managed to beat Genoni who made a great game with several important saves.
After being the better team in the goalless second period Kloten couldn't follow just as good in the third and instead the guests from Davos could score the game winner when Dario Bürgler won the battle for the puck behind the net and passed the puck to Lukas Stoop in front of net who made no mistake for his first NLA playoff goal ever.
