After a year of hiatus, Moscow team is back with a success in the traditional tournament
Starting off on the right foot: after the financial crisis that forced club to suspend operations for 2014-15 season, Spartak Moscow is back with the best possible start, winning the traditional A. I. Chernishev Memorial, a tournament usually played in Moscow, this season at the new VTB Ice Palace, Dynamo Moscow home arena and venue of next World Championship. Besides Spartak, Dynamo Moscow, Dinamo Minsk and Amur Khabarovsk competed in the tournament.
After winning Amur 3-2 at the shoot-outs, Spartak crushed 6-0 Dinamo Minsk before to win 1-0 in the traditional Moscow derby against Dynamo.

Spartak also captured two awards: goalie Evgeny Ivannikov was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament, and Vyacheslav Leshchenko was named best forward, while the best defender was Vitaly Shulakov (Amur Khabarovsk)
