Färjestad eliminates AIK in four straight games while Skellefteå and Luleå are tied 2-2 after four straight overtime games.

AIK took the lead in all four semi finals games but didn't manage to hold on to their leads and Färjestad won the semi final in four straight games, after winning also all the regular season games Färjestad has beaten AIK nine times this season.

On Saturday Färjestad won 4-2, the win was built in the second period when Färjestad went from 1-1 to 3-1 after goals by Jonas Junland and Dick Axelsson. Oscar Ahlström gave AIK some hope but Per Åslund made it 4-2 with a late emtpy net goal.

Åslund also had a big part in the away win on Sunday when he scored he the game winning goal on a penalty shot after 16:50. At 1:11 Daniel Rudslätt gave Färjestad's goalie Christopher Nihlstorp a nightmare start to his first apperance in one month but after that the Färjestad goalie made a good performance and despite their best game in semi finals AIK didn't score any more goals and lost 1-2.

The other semi final between Skellefteå and Luleå are tied 2-2. This semi final is extremely even and all games have been decided in overtime. On Saturday Skelleftå won 2-1 at home to take their first win in the semi finals. Luleå had the lead but with less than four minutes left to play Erik Forssell tied the game, twelve minutes into the overtime he scored the game winner.

The history repeated itself on Sunday when Forssell scored the overtime winner once again. Skellefteå took the lead at 57:13 when the puck hit one of the referees and gave Christian Söderström a free chance to score. But with only 12 seconds left to play Pierre Johnsson tied the game playing 6 on 4. Tough for Skelleftå who had been dominating most of the game. In the overtime however Luleå started best but Forssell got the last word again, this time after five minutes.
