26 Mar 2011 | Fredrik Pålsson
The White Hawks eliminates the league winners SønderjyskE after winning the sixth semi final 3-0 and will play Herning Blue Fox in the final.
As SønderjyskE won the regular season in style it was a surprise, perhaps even a sensation that Frederikshavn won the semi final. But lead by stellar goaltendning by Frederik Andersen the White Hawks won the series 4-2 after winning the sixth game 3-0 in front of 2139 spectators. The sixth game was in fact the first game to be won by the home team. The home team scored one goal in each period by Mike Grey, Morten Lie and William Kivistö-Larsson to reach the final.
