Only one game was played in SHL tonight. Linköping earned their first points of the season by beating Djurgården at home in SAAB Arena.
Linköping HC - Djurgårdens IF 2 - 1 (1-1, 1-0, 0-0)
Linköping got their first SHL win of the season in tonight's game against Djurgården. Djurgården came to this game with a shootout win against Växjö on Saturday.
Oscar Sundh gave the home team the lead after five minutes when he beat Djurgården's veteran goalie Mikael Tellqvist from close range. Djurgården tied it at 15:48 with a beautiful counter-attack goal. Mikael Samuelsson got the assist and Robin Alvarez the goal. His first in SHL. Sebastian Karlsson took Linköping back to the lead in the middle of the second period. He could easily tip it in on an assist from Jacob Micflikier.
Linus Hultström scored 3-1 for Linköping in the third period but it was disallowed after video review because Kent McDonnell had a skate in the goalie crease. Djurgården pulled Tellqvist the last two minutes but failed to tie it.
Linköping's Jeff Taffe was suspended after an elbowing violation in the game against HV71 and Fredric Andersson replaced him as center in the second line between Nichlas Hardt and Jacob Micflikier..
