Joel Ward leads team Canada with two goals and assist

Canada controlled much of the game but that didn't really pay off. Norway was far from Canada in shots on goal but always managed to stay in the game. Team Canada never lost his patient and with ten minutes to play Joel Ward gave the first spot in group A.
After a Nathan Mackinnon's penalty for slashing, Norway scored five seconds later by captain Anders Bastiansen. Was the first goal of game and a sign that the game wouldn't be that easy for Team Canada. After 20 minutes Canada leaded 15-4 in shots on the net.
In the beginning of second period Canada responded in the same way then Norway. After a penalty made by Mats Trygg for holding, Joel Ward assisted by Sean Monahan ties the game. Norway wasn't done and at minute 32:16 Mads Hansen assisted by Mathis Olimb give the second lead of the game. But today Canada had Joel Ward in good shape and thanks to that Mark Scheifele tied the game in a rebound after shot by Kevin Bieksa and a big offensive job from Joel Ward in Norway's defense.
In third period Canada would eventually get their goal thanks to their seven power-play in the game. Joel Ward scored after a good job by Jonathan Huberdeau behind the net. Next Thursday Canada play's team Finland in the most interesting game of quarter-finals.
