Away is the way between Växjö and Färjestad. Linköping still alive against Skellefteå.
With the only goal of the game Linköping managed to keep the semi final series against Skellefteå. The best-of-seven series started with clear wins for top ranked Skellefteå: 3-0, 8-2 and 4-1. Yesterday’s goal was scored by Jonas Junland. Marcus Högberg in Linköping’s net made 37 saves to earn the shutout.
"He does in incredibly well", says Junland about Högberg’s game. "He stole the game for us".
"It is tough, of course. But it has happened and we can look ahead now", says Joakim Lindström to Norran.
All three games of the other series has ended with away wins. Färjestad won game one 2-1 and Växjö won game two 6-1. In the third game Färjestad earned a 4-1 victory in Växjö. The fourth game is played tonight in Karlstad.
"We had an awesome support last time when the fans sang and carried us even when we were outnumbered 6-1. I hope we can give them a victory this time," says FBK's coach Leif Carlsson to the club’s website.
