HC Kremenchuk withdrew from Belarus 2nd Division

Due to the political situation in the country, Ukranian team won't play playoffs

 
 
 
 

Ukrainian club HC Kremenchuk, partecipating in Belarusian 2nd Division (Vysshaya Liga) sent a letter to Belarus Ice Hockey Federation to withdraw the team from the competition.

"Due to the tense political situation in recent days in Ukraine, and the inability to travel to Ukraine for other teams to participate in playoff games, please consider withdrawing from the competition HC Kremenchug. Please regarded the circumstances as force majeure. HC Kremenchug board thanks for your trust and for the possibility given to our team to participate in the Vysshaya Liga 2013-2014 season and looks forward to continuing a mutually beneficial relationship in the next season"- wroteHC Kremenchug in a letter.

Club finished sixth in the standing and would have to face Gomel-2 in first round of playoffs starting today
