IIHF media all-star team and directorate awards announced

Media in Sochi selected Teemu Selanne as Most Valuable Player of the 2014 Olympic men’s ice hockey tournament.

The International Ice Hockey Federation announced its media all-star team and directorate awards at the conclusion of Canada's 3-0 victory over Sweden in the men's gold medal game at the Bolshoy Ice Dome on Sunday.

Individual Awards as selected by the tournament directorate

Best Goalkeeper: Carey Price, Canada

Best Defenceman: Erik Karlsson, Sweden

Best Forward: Phil Kessel, USA

Most Valuable Player as selected by the media: Teemu Selanne, Finland

All-Star Team as selected by the media

Goalkeeper: Henrik Lundqvist, Sweden

Defenceman: Erik Karlsson, Sweden

Defenceman: Drew Doughty, Canada
