Today were the quarter finals of the Challenge Cup of Asia played in Bangkok. The home team Thailand was knocked out by Mongolia and Hong Kong beat last year's champion United Arab Emirates. Chinese Taipei and Kuwait also qualified for the semi finals.
The first of the quarter finals were played between Group A winner Chinese Taipei and the third team of Group B - Macau. As expected Chinese Taipei won the game easily with a score of 11-0.
In the second game the 2012 champion United Arab Emirates lost 6-3 to the 2011 champion Hong Kong.
The host Thailand aimed to win the tournament but was eliminated by Mongolia in the quarter final. Munkhzaya Enkhtur scored the winning 5-4 goal with eight minutes remaining.
In the last quarter final Kuwait got a 4-3 win over Malaysia.
The semi finals Mongolia - Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei - Kuwait are played tomorrow.
